Sancara is a Text-Based Multi-User Dungeon game being developed by Online Gaming Experience. The game is built on a highly modified version of Bo Zimmerman's CoffeeMud java game engine and contains all original content.
I am the lead developer on the project and I am responsible for most of the coded content that a player will experience in the game. I have developed some scripts that affect several of the global systems within the game such as population control, a working and fluctuating economy, and the artificial intelligence behind a majority of the non-combat computer characters.
One of my biggest accomplishments on this project was figuring out a way to have a working economy on local and global levels. This included taking into consideration supply and demand, as well as resale value of items made of a particular material. Players have said that "It is a level of realism that you don't see in many games".
